Shing Fish

Shing (stinging catfish) is a delicious fish cultured in ponds with soft bottoms. Its growth is not fast, but it has a high market price. Magur (also a catfish) is naturally available in freshwater habitats of Bangladesh. The growth of magur is comparatively faster compared to shing. In the Khulna and Mymensingh areas, the best quality shingfish is available.
